Unsent- Alanis Morissette
Oh Boy, aren't you guys lucky? Just look at the gorgeous setting for my outfit shot! ;)
Truthfully, these were not ever going to be published. I wore this outfit to a gorgeous wedding on Saturday and these photos are from the night before when I had tried on a bunch of different dresses. I tend to take photos of the contending outfits, it helps me decide which one worked best (does anyone else do this??)! But then Saturday was a whirlwind and I didn't get a chance to snap some better ones. So I hope you aren't too distracted by the yoga mat, easel, books and shoes in the background!
Black Silk and Velvet Dress: Theory (Borrowed from the Lovely Brooke)
Nude Patent Shoes, Shell Clutch and Sequin Headband: Aldo
Pearl and (fake) Diamond Ring: Le Chateau
Pearl Necklace: Vintage (Grandma's)
Navy Blazer (worn for the ceremony): R.W. and Co.
I'm completely in love with the ladylike flow of this dress, plus it created a perfect excuse to treat myself to some new nude shoes (found in the Aldo sale for $20...holla!!). It also worked perfectly on the dance floor, so much so that I ended up (most likely ungracefully) tearing the floor up! But the bride looked gorgeous, the groom was dashing and there was copious amounts of laughter, friends, wine and dancing. All in all, a very successful wedding!
Congrats A and M!!

I love the length of that dress! I want to wear some longer lengths but I'm afraid I may have to photoshop myself to look as tall as you do in it!! Hehe

The shape of that dress is perfect! And I'm so jealous you found those shoes for $20!! I definitely paid way more than that for my nude pumps :(
ReplyDeleteBeautiful necklace and I am loving the headband. Your hardwood floors are exactly what I want when I finally get a house.

those nude patent shoes are perfect! I really want a pair to switch up my look instead of always wearing black heels.

ReplyDeleteOh Yay!! I'm SO glad that this dress worked for you and that it made the perfect dance partner. It was designed to be twirled in! The way you styled this is incredible, but that is no surprise! Did you get that headband recently? I love it! You look beautiful. xx
