Welcome Home, Son

This is yesterday's outfit, perfect for the balmy weather we've been having! I wasn't supposed to wear this slip as a skirt, but seriously, who has time to throw on real clothes when it's gorgeous outside?! I can't seem to decide what season this hat is though... the style makes me think S/S but the felt material feels a bit too F/W?? It's not that I object to wearing things out of season, generally I just wear what I like and throw caution to the wind (haha melodramatic, non?) but it makes me wonder every time I bring this dude out of the closet.

Anyways, today I've been ever so stylish (sarcasm...) wearing my gorgeous painting clothes! BUT I finally covered the hole in my kitchen wall and have repainted some hideous green trim in my office. Yes, you read correctly... green trim. It was pure hideousness. Thankfully, it's now all covered. I swear, falling in love with the "feeling" of an old house will be the death of both me and my wallet!

Tank: Zara
Slip: Thrifted
Shoes: Pierre Hardy for Gap
Hat: American Apparel
Belt: just some old ribbon...
Leaf Necklace: Gift

Lovely Thing: Discovering that you can put together an outfit for a total of $10 (hat excluded... darn!) that is decent enough to wear in public, even if half of it is "undergarments"! :)

  5. Very cute! I'm jealous of your hot weather! PA now has all of the rainy cold weather although tomorrow it's supposed to be 70, so I guess I can't complain ;) I love love old houses! My first apartment was this in this old farmhouse like house, and it was just so darn cozy! Good luck with the painting :)
