Don't Do Me Like That

It's still all gloomy outside so I put on a simple outfit, with some of my favorite stand-bys. You can't really go wrong with a black scoop neck or a camel skirt. To add a bit more me to the ensemble (and because I tend to feel naked with out my so called "bling") I added some stand-out accessories; an over-sized ring, a turquoise feather necklace and a nice flower in the hair! I guess the polka dot tights and strappy shoes also make this normal outfit more "me". Ah... the power of some great accessories!

I didn't really get up to much in this outfit either, just working in the office and a quick run to the library. I just feel funny not getting pulled together and dressed for the day though. I guess I chose the right profession then!

Top and Flower Headband: Smart Set
Skirt: Banana Republic
Shoes: Franco Sarto
Tights: Joe
Ring: Suzy Shier
Self Made Necklace

Lovely Thing: A weekend of girliness with some awesome friends! This includes a trip to "the City" (pfft... I'm so small town!)a day of shopping and supper out! I can't wait!

I hope you all have a lovely weekend too!

p.s I'm thinking about finally switching up the hair... any ideas?? This is just my natural hair colour and it hasn't been cut in about 6 months (I'm kinda low-key with it). I don't look good with extreme colours (black, bleach blond etc.) but am up for a change! Any help is appreciated! xx

  1. you look so polished and chic!! i especially love that you have dotted tights with it to break up the solid colors of the clothes!! amazing look, dear! :D

  2. You look adorable! I drool over your Franco Sarto shoes every time I see them. I've been really into Jessica Alba's cute bob lately as far as new haircuts go. I think it would look great on you!

  3. Camel skirt...envy. Finding a good skirt is difficult!

You can always let the sun put highlights in your hair! I used to put lemon juice in mine to bleach it a tiny tiny bit...and a fresh summer haircut always feels good. :)

  4. Love how the dots on your tights pick up the buttons on your skirt.

  5. Love the buttons on this skirt. I'm with Emma Clark on this one, nice touch with the dotted hose!

  6. I never used to like any shade of brown with black but I've been liking it more and more lately.

I love the shoes and tights :)

  7. Thanks for stopping my blog. Follow if you like (I'm now following you!)

And I. Love. Those. Shoes. They're fierce! (is it still OK to say fierce? lol)

  8. You are so! so! so! beautiful!!! I love your outfit. Office chic. :)

  9. You look so chic! This is so classy, and the headpiece gives you a little 1920s flair :) Love the style of those shoes and I'm wanting a pair like that!
I've got to ask--how do you get your inside pictures to come out so nice and clear? Mine are usually sort of grainy looking.

    Anyhow, very nice! :D

  10. The black and the khaki look great together! I love those spotted tights!

  11. The second photograph is so good. The blouse and tights are very pretty, especially paired with that Chic camel skirt. You look very European in this outfit;-)

  12. I like how you dressed up some great basics...
Don't dye or cut your hair! Ok, maybe trim it if you must.... I only speak from jealousy as I slllloooowwwly try to grow out my hair.

  13. Super-cute blog <3
If you have the time, be sure to check mine out too - I also have a makeup and accessories giveaway going on, so have a look at that too ;)))

    Have a great day

  14. Love the tights and headband. You have great style!
