VCR- The xx
I find that when my mind gets all hectic and bogged up I strip down what I'm wearing and just focus on the basics. Like a plain white shirt and a little black dress. It's a coping mechanism of sorts (do normal people have coping mechanisms for their wardrobes??). But in a way, I feel that this style also really suits me, geesh! I'm a walking contradiction. I love a blunder of prints in an outfit, tons of accessories and intricate details yet I can still find such joy in simple basic wardrobe necessities... I guess I'm just trying to find myself and my style. That's what I feel your 20's and 30's are for though, trying on different persona's until you find one that fits.
Tee- Joe
Skirt (yeah.. you know that dress that I've reworked a million ways...)- Le Chateau
Purse and Belt- Thrifted
Shoes- Pierre Hardy for Gap
Assorted Jewelry
So I do have an admission for you. Maybe it's not something that should be shared on the internet but I can't really keep it in. I'm madly in love. With my new purse. There, I said it!! I found him in Value Village on Sunday and I swear it was love at first sight. Maybe I'm still in the giddy lust stage, but I really do think this one is a keeper! He's vintage, leather, the perfect little size to hold just the essentials and the cross-body strap is insanely perfect! Ah! I think I have to log off now so that I can go snuggle with him on the couch!

  3. I totally agree that your 20's and 30's are for finding out your true personal style. It's fun to play with fashion but it's the staples and styles we always return to that define us.
And anything that is that cute and holds your stuff without whining is definitely a keeper!! I'm in for Wednesday as well!! xx

  6. Bahahaha, the look of love!! What a great little purse! One of my best pals recently found a tiny little dooney & burke (!!) purse in a similar style at VV's for $3! I absolutely adore yours, I need to get my butt to VV's, apparently, with all this little cross body bag love to be found!
